MAKING A HANDMADE WOODEN BOWL

This is the felled tree trunk that will be
a beautiful bowl.

Next the tree trunk is sliced into the beginning
stages of a bowl blank

Lots of beautiful bowls hiding here!
They will slowly air-dry and in 6 months
they will move on to the next step

More bowls waiting and drying here

6 months later, now ready for the next bowl making phase

The rough bowl diameter is drawn onto the air-dried blank

Preparing to cut out the bowl blank on the band-saw

The bowl is finally on the lathe for the
first time 6 months later!

Preparing to turn the rough bowl

The roughed out bowl is sealed with a bowl sealer

The sealed roughed out bowl is dried in this bin for 3 months

Then it dries here for 3 more months

Now here is Phil the master bowl turner turner the
beautiful bowl you are about to see.

I love it!!
I hope you found this interesting and enjoyed the bowl turning
